Finally i have edited my website. added some new photos from this summer. got a new layout and im starting to work on getting an ecommerce part to make my photos ready for sale. its exciting hopefully i can get some people on my site and start selling some of my amazing photos.

Semester number 2 At UArts

I've started semester number two at University of the Arts. I was quite sad that last semester I didn't get to go to as many concerts as I had wanted but, I already have two lined up for the next two weeks. Im excited. Pull out my camera gear and get back out into the concert venues shooting the bands I love. This semester should be fun. I have intro to photo II with the teacher i am not to fond of. As well as Color Concerpts(color photography) with another teacher I wasn't too fond of last semester. But as Ryann told me, there are going to be some professors your just going to butt heads with. Im not going to get along with every one of them. I posted some new and old photos. I am in the process of scanning my photos from the past semester and posting them up to the site. Im still working with black and white film photography. I'll start shooting some color film Photography this semester and doing a bit digital. Keep an eye out for new work

R.I.P. Jim Marshall

I'm sad to say that Wednesday one of the great music photographers and one of my inspirations died. Jim Marshall died in his sleep at the age of 74 after living a life that i can only dream to have one day. He as photographed musicians of all different genres. They include woodstock, johnny cash, bob dylan, the beatles last concert, john coltrane and so many other greats. I do celebrate his life as a great music photographer but i do regreat not getting the chance to me my idol. He is greatly missed and forever celebrated!!!!!!

I'm currently working on a project for myself that will be a collage of the current ska bands that are still around. i've done a few so far but i have a long way to go. I'm hoping it will turn out awesome!!

semester is over.

Tomorrow is the end of the semester. My photography class has been great this semester. I really learned a lot from it. I should be able to put up a bit of my work from that. Traditional photography.
This weekend i have a photo pass for the slackers show at the TLA in philly. should be a good time. Next weekend is the valencia holiday show at hangar 84 in vineland that i will be doing photos at. Should be a lot more shows coming up. I have a lot more time now. If you know of any shows or any bands looking for photographers please leave me a comment of message me. I am always looking for new gigs.

an update that is long due

It has been quite a while since i have updated my blog. Here is what has been going on. I've recently been going to a lot of concerts with a few photo passes for some bands in the area. I've done a local ska show, skatoberfest in Allentown. I've done a show up in New York City for another ska band called Big D and the Kids Table. I have one coming up on Tuesday actually which is exciting. There are a few more shows planned for the future as well. I also recently got a job working for a photographer in the area, which is really exciting. I'm happy to say i've been doing well, But i'll keep you posted.

Brand new month

This week was the first week of school, and my first Photography and Portraiture class. Looking at the syllabus we will be doing a lot of different stuff to help discover who we are as photographers and our style. Being in a portraiture class allows me to do what i really want to do which is band photography. I'm currently looking for bands to work with both live and promo shots as well as a few other ideas that I have. Please contact me if you are interested. Bandits show went great.

I am excited to say that I am finally getting my business off the ground with the help of my family. This week I went to the RX Bandits show with my photo pass and took some pictures that I will be posting sometimes this week. I am getting my new Nikon 35mm camera this week as well. Also I would like to say that I am really excited to say that my 20th birthday is this upcoming Wednesday. Next weekend I have an unpaid job working for my mom's camp reunion so I'm hoping to get some jobs through that by giving out my business cards.

Finally I have finished my website. Its really exciting for me to have my own page to show my work off on other than myspace. So I guess I should start with a little bit about me. My name is Alexandra Atamian, I'm 20 years old and a Photography major at Camden County College. I received my first camera at the age of eleven and have been taking pictures ever since. My main focus in photography is music but i do a little bit of everything.
